Kong Zoom Groom

Last month, I reviewed some Kong products that I was not too thrilled with and mentioned that I also received a Zoom Groom that I needed to review again because I did not read the directions.  I thought it was just a brush, but it is so much more than that! It's actually meant for shampooing.  And it rocks!!

I gave Gibson a bath on Friday and tested the Zoom Groom out the way that it was supposed to be used.  I squirted some dog shampoo on it and got scrubbing Gibson!  Seriously, it was probably the best bath Gibson has ever had.  I never used to feel like I got him that clean because I couldn't get to his undercoat very well.  And his butt hair was impossible since it is so thick.  This takes care of that!  I got way down into his fur way quicker than ever before.  And the hair that came out.. OMG.  So gross, but so awesome at the same time.  And the hair kept coming out afterwards.  I brushed him and brushed him and crazy amounts of hair fell off of him.  I've never seen him so fluffy or smooth.

I attempted to take a video (one handed) of Gibson getting a bath with the Zoom Groom.  It was about as tough as it sounds haha.  He escaped once and I finally had to put the camera down to rinse him off properly, but you should be able to get the gist ;)

I forgot to take a photo of him afterwards but trust me... so fluffy!!!   So fluffy, I might need this shirt...

So, in conclusion (ha), I think every corgi owner should own a Zoom Groom.. Seriously!  It's A-Mah-Zing! Go get one!! :)

Do you have a special tub you bathe him in? We use the tub and it is so back breaking and our corgi slips around so much.

I noticed you bathe him in the shower, I do the same thing, except I have to close the door and get in with him or he'll make a run for it! Also I have the zoom groom and I tried it for the first time today, I didn't get as much hair out as you did(you got an impressive amount). But I think I might have been in a rush.

bailey gets bathed in a tub with a door. hes definetly a runner, and if hes wet.. good luck on catching him. hell make a sprint, duck around tables.. swift fella. anywhoo! looks like a great product. we have something similar made by Oster that actualy dispenses the shampoo as well. but i try to furminate bailey before he gets a bath to lessent the fur cleanup afterwards. haha

@Anonymous
I've been bathing him in our shower lately and it is a lot easier than the tub.. mainly because of the rinsing! When it's hot out, the easiest thing is to wash him with the hose outside :)

Theo hates baths and hates our kong zoom, but I agree, it works pretty well! I'm not in love with it, but I always find that it does a nice job of sudsing him up. I think Theo finds the stiffness of the rubber a bit uncomfortable? I try to be gentle, but it's gotta get through all that fur, right? I agree it definitely gets him cleaner and is super easy to use. :) Glad you gave it another go!

Kelly, I went out and bought to Zoom Groom. I do feel it did a great job and the dogs did seem to enjoy the massaging effect. I liked how it helped with the sudsing. I am going to put some videos up on my blog tomorrow. Thanks for your review.
