Lazy Sunday

This is what I did all day yesterday..

I caught a cold last Wednesday and it pretty much knocked me out all weekend. Top Model marathons, a Purdue basketball game and the Oscars entertained me. Although, I did somehow manage to go to Chicago on Saturday night for my birthday dinner.. Not sure how :)

Maybe it's because my little therapy dog warmed me up a bit...

I snuggle you mama.

I apologize for not having much to talk about lately, but I just.. haven't had much to talk about :(  I think it's this end of winter thing.  We're all in ruts and need spring to break us out of it.  Come on spring!

Scarves for Sidney + GIVEAWAY WINNER!

If you are a fan of Corgi Butts on Facebook, you  may have seen me mention Scarves for Sidney a few weeks ago.  Basically, Sidney is a corgi who needed an expensive surgery last  year and now his mom, Geri is giving these bandanas away in exchange for a small donation to help pay off the bill.  Well, I received Gibson's bandana this weekend and I love it!   Isn't he such a cute model? :)

Julie (from Corgi Tails & Bananas for Bourbon) is the one who sews the bandanas for Geri and she did an amazing job! It is such high quality and the perfect size for corgis :)  To learn more about Scarves for Sidney and maybe get one of your own bandanas, click here!

AND NOW, time to announce the giveaway winner!

And the winner, chosen by,  is....

cstironkat who said...

I would get a new dog bed for my older dog and I would look for one that was especially made for older pets.

Congratulations, cstironkat! Please contact me at ksteck23(at) to claim your prize!! :)

The softest thing in the world...

Is there anything more soft than a corgi's ears?

The answer is no.  No, there is not.  Rabbit fur, cashmere, baby bottoms, you name it.  Nothing in the world compares.  I can sit and pet Gibson's ears all day long :)

Of course, along with being incredibly soft, they are also incredibly sensitive to noise.  I think I've mentioned that one of Gibson's biggest fears is that little chirp that the smoke detector makes when it needs batteries.   Well, as we speak, Gibson is hiding because I was watching a house tour on a blog that I read and one of their smoke detectors just happened to be chirping.  It wasn't even in our house and it freaked him out!  Sheesh.

Must go console doggie... ;)

P.S. Don't forget to enter this week's giveaway! It's a good one! :)

We're Baaaaaaaaaaack (from vacation)

Yep, it's been quiet around here because Gibson and I were gone living it up on vacation last week!   Gibson was at my parents, romping through the snow all week, and I was here:

On Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas which traveled to Labadee, Haiti & Montego Bay, Jamaica!! :)     It was a fantastic time.  We went with a group of 12 and had a blast.  I really didn't think about Gibson much, except for a few times when a dog would be barking on tv (and we flipped the channel quickly so it didn't upset the dog.. lol) and when I had a piece of bacon and thought of saving a little to give to Gibbers.  We got back home late on Saturday to pick him up and he was as exhausted as I  expected him to be, but seemed excited to see us...but not so excited for us to put him in the car and take him home :)

Anyways, here are some of my favorite photos!

And Gibson?

Well, he obviously had a good time, because he slept the entire day yesterday.. He actually went upstairs and jumped on our bed to go to sleep for the night at 7pm (and I wasn't far behind him at 8:30)! lol  I think that's the earliest yet..

I hope everyone had a great week.  I promise to start reading your blogs again soon! :)

Snowpocalypse 2011

That's what they're calling it.  Or Snowmageddon, SnOMG (my fave), The Blizzard of 2011™, Snow City, etc.  The biggest snow storm since '67.  Did it live up to the hype?

I'm not sure how much snow we got, but it's so windy that in some places it is up to my butt.  It's nuts.  I went to take Gibson for a walk this morning and he wanted nothing of it.  He just pooped and ran back to the back door.

I get to work from home today (yay) so we went out a little later and I threw his ball for him and of course, snapped a billion photos :)   Enjoy!

How did everyone else fair with the big ol scary storm? :)
