Antler Dog Bone Giveaway!

Surprise! Another giveaway! This is one of my favorite giveaways I've had to date because its for one of my favorite dog products out there: Antler Dog Bones!  Not only that, but my favorite company that makes antlers is sponsoring it: Peak Antler Company!

DSC_2258

Antlers are the best chew toy or treat a dog can have.  Why?  They are safe, odorless, won't stain, won't splinter, won't get slimy and are completely digestible.  Plus, dogs love the marrow inside!  Oh and they last FOREVER.  The price seems steep at first, but considering that they last months and months while bully sticks and rawhides last minutes makes them a bargain!  Plus,  it's much less embarrassing explaining to guests what it is than explaining what a bully stick is...

Gibson has been chewing on Antlers from the Peak Antler Company for over 2 years.  I love them because shipping is always free and fast and the antlers are super high quality.  And since antlers are shed naturally, no animals are ever harmed.. they are just collected from the ground!

So would you be interested in an antler of your own?  Here's the giveaway!

TO ENTER

Leave comment here telling me if your dog has ever had an antler chew before or if not, what their current favorite chew is.  Please leave your name and/or email address with your comment.  Anonymous entries will be thrown out.

1 Winner will receive one (1) antler and pick either the small (4-5"), medium (6-7") or large (8-9") size (Gibson prefers the medium size).

I will choose a winner using random.org on Friday, March 11.

Good luck!!

Bender and Bones actually got an antler chew from the Secret Santa Exchange! They love it. Although since we only have one I've had to break up many fights over it.

I've never heard of these, but they sound pretty neat! Right now, Gryff gets a chew that looks like raw hide, but it's from his vets office and it's for cleaning his teeth. And they smell horrible. Antler chews would be a nice change of pace :)

AHHHH! Winnie and I tried an antler chew once last summer. I got it at a fancy pet store while we were on vacation then we accidently left it at our rental when we came home. It was pretty expensive so we were doubly disapointed about leaving it behind. It was so great and we haven't been able to find any since then. Thanks for the weblinks. Winnie's and I just use good old fassion rawhides for chews. Nothing fancy, buy from Dr. Foster & Smith because they don't use gross chemicals to bleach/dry the hide. I've found that a nice thick roll last longer than even the compressed stuff. I realy need to hunt because Winnie is what they call a "durable" chewer. :-)

Sam and Riley have never tried an antler..but sounds like the ideal chewie! We have been using rawhides coated with a beefy gravy (which leave stains); Riley chews anything that is on the floor and on the ground outside, acorns included (and licks the coffee table wheels...) and Sam is not really a chewer, but needs something as he gets tartar easily. Hope to get to try it!

Sadie's never had one, but I am sure she would love one!! I have been interested in getting her one since I've seen you post about them. Right now her favorite is basically anything lol.

Daisey has an antler chew and loves it! It must be super special because she likes to stash it places even though she's the only dog in the house.

Woof! Woof! I had some Antler Bone during my winter break at my doggy camp site. Absolutely LOVE it! We LOVE to participate on your giveaway. Will also definitely check out the company you get your Antler's Bone. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

OH MY GOSH! We are thinking of getting Amy an antler chew, but the place we order from -- which just started carrying antlers in their last catalog -- already has them on back order! We want to try an antler chew because she gave us a mighty scare on President's Day weekend with a pressed rawhide bone that broke off and lodged in her throat. She loves chewey bones, and tosses them in the air with glee, but since The Incident we've downgraded her to dental treats that still give a decent chew and are still fun to toss in the air. But she goes through them in just a few minutes! Where's the chewey, gnawing fun in that, momma??

Radar has never had an Antler Chew before. He loves all chew toys though. He's loved his nylabone, but it's past it's prime and I had to take it away.

I'd love to win him an Antler!

Dexter has never had an antler chew, but he looooves chew toys like rawhides. His favorites are Dingos and pig ears, but they don't last more than like 5 minutes with my piranha puppy!

I have been searching local to me and not found any yet (coastal massachusetts). Anya enjoys stealing one when we go to visit a friend's house, but has to leave it at the door when we leave. And our new rescue Cardi -Amos- NEEDs to learn about them!!

Wrigley has never had an antler chew before. Currently, he carries around a rubber stick...well, it's more like a nub now...hahaha He'd love to have one of these! :)

Tesla has never had an antler, but I'm sure she would love them, she loves to chew!

I don't even want to think about what life without antlers would be like for Theo. They are truely the perfect chew for him. He prefers the medium too! :)

Katie does not have the attention span for toys but Chip is a champion chewer! We have not tired antlers before. The only chew toy he has not totally destroyed is the Nylabone dura plus. His favorite chewy right now is my leather iPhone case. I am on number three....and get what I deserve for leaving it on the coffee table.

WOW! Lita has never had an antler chew. And would be curious about this. I warn you she can demolish a greenie in about 2 minutes.. So this would be her Mt Everest. THanks for sponsoring this. mtv4mitz@yahoo.com

Izzie's still working on her first antler chew, it's amazing! She'll finish a bully stick or rawhide the same day, but the antler has so far eluded her.

Plus, with light blue upholstery, the antler can make its way to the chairs without fear of staining!

Been 3 months and it's still going strong, despite daily chewing. In the next few weeks it should be down to a size where it'll go, and it will definitely be replaced with another antler!

Luna has never had an antler chew. Currently Luna loves chewing on plain rawhide the most. Yes, she has had her bully rings that she adores as well, but my brother/roommate thrills at letting people in on what it is made from.

Sully hasn't ever had an antler! I am so scared of splintering chews and bones, that the most he gets is a dried sweet potato. But he's getting older and I'd rather not have to take him for a dental every year so I'd love to try antlers! Since they sound much safer than other things like bones!

Chelsea and Wilson said...

Wilson LOVES antlers! He's still only half way finished his first one - mostly cause he keeps hiding it. Seems to think the cats after it!

Shannon LaFever said...

Shasta cannot get enough of the antlers...they
last forever... and he loves chewing deep into the marrow!
It is great for teeth cleaning and the dreaded "dog breath".
Thank you Jen for making such a healthy, safe, recylable dog treat....they are awesome:)

First off I am the proud owner of 6 crazy corgis and I have been reading your blog for a long time now, I have never posted a comment but these antlers i hear SOOOO much about them and this would be a good opportunity to try and win one. My family and I have 2 red, 1 sable, and 2 tri color corgis of all shapes and sizes... gus, milton, izzy, queenie, clemintine, and chloe they all chew on their toys and all kinds of stuff so an antler might be a good alternative

thanx !

Lilu has never had an antler but she loves her rawhides, but they are gone instantly and I'm afraid of giving her more than once a month because I heard they have a hard time digesting them. I'd love to try and antler bone and see how long they last against corgi chewing power!

Sujen "Ziona" said...

My two corgi butts have never had these! The youngest corgi butt prefers to chew on soft nylabones. Our older corgi butt prefers shoes, but we try to discourage this. So she gets rawhide twist bones instead!

Addi has never tried one of these! She can't do raw hide (even though she loves them) because she never fails to get sick after chewing on them. We've tried others but they smell horrible. So needless to say, Addi has not had a chew toy in a LONG time. It sounds like these antler bones might be the perfect solution! (bassett3650@gmail.com)

Bailey has only gone through one - and on our blog we recently blogged about replacing it, but we would love to win one - cause they are a bit pricey! I would say baileys favorite chew are raw marrow bones. he drools for those. but ya know.. they are way too messy!

What a coincidence! I was just reading about antlers as chews today and come home to find your post! =] Reese has not had an antler, but I'm convinced to give them a try. She is a rawhide girl, but those barely last cuz she is such a strong chewer. Reese would LOVE to try out for your giveaway! Plus, you're doing the drawing on my birthday!!! =] YAY!

My puppy Tibby loves antlers! I bought her a few differnt bones to try a couple months ago and the antler is the only one that hasn't been chewed up.
I like it, because it's not messy and smelly.

My two looove antlers! They are totally worth the price too, they last so much longer than any of the other chews. :o)

Jenny said...

Stanley and Charlie looooove antlers. In fact, they've chewed them down so much that they are too small to give them. So we are definitely due for some new ones.

Emily said...

You know how much the Wrigster likes his antlers!! They are definitely the best and will always be his favorite chew!!

Annabelle, Leo and Rowan (all corgis!!) love the Nylabones. I have tried every other kind of bone/toy and they couldn't care less about them. I never heard of the antlers, will have to check it out. Thanks for the giveaway!^..^

Cora is bully stick obsessed but they're so smelly she doesn't get them very often. Most things billed as "long lasting" don't stand a chance. Have not tried antlers yet because I wasn't sure Cora would like them. A free trial would be choice.

Penny has had antler chews before, but not this brand. She didn't seem too interested in the one we gave her before, but it didn't have much marrow. She destroys the chews we have been giving her so fast, we're really trying to find something new for her.

Love the blog!

Being that Ellie broke a tooth on a beef shin bone, I don't usually give her and Charlie beef bones, but occasionally - once in a while - I give them the round bone from a round steak. They are deeply in love with these bones!

My dog Walker is a corgi / sheltie mix. He has had an antler in the past and they are the best ! He is such a strong chewer and the one he had lasted forever ! He has even chew thru a black kong for extra strong chewers !

I ordered an antler after reading your review and it arrived about an hour ago. This is the best thing. It's thundering and lightening outside and Ginger is (for the first time ever) oblivious to it. She's too busy chewing on the antler to care.

I only recently heard about antler chews. I'm intrigued, but my dogs haven't tried them yet. My two corgis get dried sweet potatoes and an occasional rawhide chew...most manufactured in China-which doesn't please me. I'd love to enter Edith & Murray in your giveaway. :)

I can be contacted through my blog. Thanks for hosting this generous giveaway!

What a great giveaway! My pup Louis (a westie) has never had an antler chew before, but I've heard of them and been curious.

Currently his favorite chew toy is/are bully sticks.

Mal loves antlers! Though they are kind of pricey and don't last for months and months with him (unless we are careful about rationing his time with it!). He would love a new one since his old one just got too small to chew :(

Wow! You have a lot of comments already and I don't blame people because Antler chews are AWESOME. My dog Remmy just lost his antler on vacation so we could definitely use another one. He just loved the last one we had.

Lucy has an antler chew now, but she doesn't seem to like it very much. She devoured her first one, so I'm starting to wonder if the company really makes a difference?

I guess a medium size would be good for Lucy... she takes everything Gibson recommends very seriously!

The weirdest thing I’ve ever found my dog chewing on? My underwear. I’ve learned to not leave it on the floor when I take a shower in the morning so I put it up on the sink. Well now Ein (a corgi) has figured if he’s very stealthy and can get up on the toilet without me hearing him he can reach the sink and nab a pair. Oh, and dryer sheets, he’s addicted to dryer sheets.
