Dog Couch

Do you have a dog couch?  No, not a couch where your dog spends all of his/her lazy time.. A couch where you keep all your dog walking crap!  Mine looks pretty much like this...

Lovely, no?

This is in our 'mud room/back porch/3 season room', which is right next to the door where I let Gibson out and where I take him out for walks.  That's a lot of stuff.. and  I have a problem keeping it tidy.  Although,  some of it is actually Gibson's travel stuff, and then some running gear thrown in as well... So, yeah.  Lots of  stuff on one little couch.

And then there is also the pile of outside shoes on the floor and my coat, scarf and snow/rain pants hanging on the banister... oh and some random travel bowls and water bottles thrown in for good measure on the table.    I guess that would actually make it a "Dog Room" rather than just a "Dog Couch".  Yeesh.

Do you have this problem? Or am I the only dog slob?? :)

I have a hanging shoe organizer that the dog stuff goes in - it works quite well

YES, we DO have a dog couch! Chelsea thinks the living room sofa is HERS. I keep it covered in blankets so that I can launder off her drool.
We have a hook rack just inside the front door. The first two hooks are mine. The second two hooks are Chelsea's- her clothes and coats, leashes and I keep all of the random stuff in a bag, hanging by the handles. Next three hooks are dug's because he has so much crap. He tries to take over one of Chelsea's hooks from time to time but we shove him back.
XO, Cheryl
P.S.- go look at my latest post!

I have a dog table with all of Tibby's treats (up high and in a bin so she can't 'treat' herself to a snack), 2 hooks for coats, 2 hooks for leashes and collars, various door knobs with bags that have training supplies in them for class and a big bag by the front door that has plastic bags for picking up poop when we go for walks.
Um, I think I have a dog HOUSE.

We have an area simular to that by our back door but what I really want to know is what sort of coat do you have for Gibson? I got one for Winnie this year but I'm not sure it fits her quite right. If it's long enough, it draggs on the ground. And if it dosen't drag, it dosen't cover her hip. :-) The trouble with the long and low, I guess.

I'm afraid that it is my kids Winter gloves, hats, scarves, coats and boots that are scattered throughout my house right now. After they go out to play in the snow they just drop them at the door. Later they end up in front of the fireplace to dry them off.

WoW! Yours looks very beautiful compared to mine!!! I put all Jaspers stuff on a table right next to the front door. And it's all muddy, salty, and gross at this time.

Hello, I'm Pirulo Furry's Mom. My dear Piru used to visit your blog (although he was a cat) and loved it because he said it was really funny. Unfortunately, Piru died last Tuesday in his sleep; we think it was a heart attack. It will mean a lot to us if you can visit his blog and leave a comment. Thank you.

wow! I keep forgetting how much MORE is necessary in winter weather! No need for the hats, scarves and gloves in Florida :D But for small(ish) dogs, corgis sure use up a lot of space!

@Amy Hi coat is what I call a 'barn coat'. It just velcros around his neck and under his chest. I think this type of coat works best for long dogs :) This is Gibson's exact coat, only his is green: http://www.amazon.com/Dog-Coat-Fleece-Reflective-Safety/dp/B001K6SBXG/ref=sr_1_32?ie=UTF8&qid=1295377361&sr=8-32

Your stuff is so colorful!! I have Sadie's stuff in different areas. Her leash hangs in the garage, as does her winter coat and raincoat. Her other stuff is in my room though.
