Corgi vs Vacuum

This is what happens EVERY time I try to vacuum:

Arch enemies.

Maybe it's the light...making it a one eyed growling monster!
Our two run from room to room as I vaccum....they're terrified!

Ah yes...and with Pippin, my youngest, other offenders include brooms, shovel, weed whackers...you get the picture :-)

Pretty brave little guy, isn't he?

When our vacuum comes out, Finn gets a nylabone and plants himself in the "area to be most in the way" and then barks around and tries to herd the vacuum when it comes near him. His true animosity comes out with regard to the ironing board, which he comes running to "attack" when ever he hears the closet door open.

yep, I know that look at bark; Koda charges it when I get the vacuum out. and they shed so much you need to vacuum several times a week; vicious cycle

Haha! That is amazing! Go Gibson Go! Sammy did that the first couple times, now he stays between me and the vacuum at all times! He still does that with the hair dryer though!

Woof! Woof! Yah! I get it ... it used to bother me but nw I can just ignore it so don't worry you'll get used to it. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

I need Gibson to defend me, because I'm terrified of that damn monster. It's the noise, I hate the noise.

OMG! LOL! He is so tough! Oh yeah, and adorable. No, I don't have that problem with Theo. He's much to much of a chicken to be so confrontational. He usually runs for another room when the vacuum goes on.

I'm so glad to know that your Corgi does this too. I've broken mine from barking at the aluminum foil, the hairdryer and some other things, but never the vacuum. she hates it with a passion, even if you just open the door where we keep the vacuum. Yikes!

Kelly, Chelsea is too afraid of the vaccum, but barks like crazy at the broom.
I thought your post was going to say "Corgi wins!" cause there is no way a vaccum can keep up with all of the corgi hair!
hug you, Cheryl

How are Corgis for shedding? Do they have a double coat? Luckily for me my german shepherd is a mix and didn't get the double coat but the do we are fostering right now--oh my gosh. Her hair is everywhere!

Oh yes, they do indeed shed, LOTS! :)

Thanks for the blog comment!! PS: I LOVE Corgi dogs! When i was a little girl, there was this old woman who used to walk her corgi, Katie everyday by her house, and ever since then, i've been a fan:) See you 'round the blogosphere

Ugh...I know this feeling. The dogs hates the vacuum! I think it's all the high pitch whining sounds the vacuum emits when it is in operation.

Then again, they hate the mop too. Mainly cause it is a huge tease and never stops to let them chew on it a bit.

You should gets a Roomba friend!!! I play chase games with my Rommba friend and then I feed my sheddings to it. I has lots of those, so my Roomba friend is rarely hungry.

My corgi does the same to the vacuum! She also attacks brooms and rakes.
