A Day at the Park

I took Gibson to the park near our house yesterday, which is something I try to do every weekend to let him run around and explore and work off energy so Ben and I can go out at night and not feel guilty :) It is a great park. There is a small lake and then a river that you can walk along in back. The best part about it is that hardly anyone goes there, and the ones that do, usually stay up by the lake to fish or let their kids use the jungle gym that is there. Which means, as soon as we get past that point the leash is off. It is wonderful :)

He loves to do this... Get really close to the water, hook his back legs on something so he doesn't fall in, and then sniff, sniff, sniff!

He's such a happy guy when he's here.

They just recently (over the summer) added the paved trail and this deck on the river. It's much nicer than it used to be, where we'd just be walking on dirt/mud.

He feels like a real live dog when he's at the p-a-r-k.

Wow, Gibson is looking positively dashing! It's always nice to take them some place to really stretch their legs. That looks like a great area! I should take Theo on our walking trails, but I always get too busy with life. I'll buckle down and do it after the holidays!
